Claire Mitchell hails from sunny South Pasadena in Southern California and moved to the Bay Area to attend college at UC Berkeley. She earned her degree in International Development Studies with a focus on Latin America. During college, she became dedicated to social justice issues, working with grassroots and political campaigns, non-profits, and unions. While in Berkeley, she volunteered at a immigrant and refugee services organization and further developed her interest in the interconnectedness of the United States and the rest of the world. She also had the opportunity to study abroad in Madrid, Spain and loved every minute of her six months there. Soon after graduating she moved to South America where she lived for eight months. In Chile, she volunteered in a group home for foster youth and in Peru she worked with a local NGO designing sex education and self-esteem classes. She taught these classes in local schools in both Lima and the rural Sierra. She is now back in San Francisco, enjoying her favorite city on earth, and grateful to be working every day with people from all over the world. Claire is a paralegal at the firm and is fluent in Spanish.
